Elton P. “Juppy” Muth, age 72, of Longswamp Township, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Tower Health – Reading Hospital and Medical Center in West Reading. His unexpected passing has left his family, friends, and community deeply saddened as they remember a life defined by hard work, dedication, and a strong connection to family and land.

Juppy was the beloved husband of Nancy L. (Sheeler) Muth, with whom he shared nearly 37 years of marriage after their wedding on July 15, 1989. Together, they built a life grounded in love, commitment, and shared values, forming a family that remained central to everything he did.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Catherine “Cass” R. (Adam) Muth of Longswamp Township and the late Oscar G. Muth Jr. He was raised in a family that valued farming, responsibility, and perseverance—principles that shaped his entire life. A 1972 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, Juppy carried those values into both his career and personal life.

Farming was not just a job for Juppy—it was a way of life. He worked on his family farm and later with Vista Grande Farms, LLC in Fleetwood, where he served as an equipment operator and continued to support farm operations. He especially enjoyed hauling cattle and other livestock to local fairs, a task he shared with family and friends. He also contributed his time as a driver within the local Mennonite community, reflecting his willingness to help others.

Juppy is survived by his wife Nancy, his mother Cass, his daughter Megan L. (Muth), wife of Kyle A. Noss, and his two cherished grandchildren, Harper R. Noss and Amber S. Noss. He is also survived by his sister, Cathleen “Tutty” R. Wisser, and her husband Larry.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ludwick Funeral Homes in Kutztown, followed by burial at Zion Moselem Church Cemetery.

Elton P. “Juppy” Muth will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and honored for a life built on dedication, family, and a lifelong love of farming.
