A Santa Monica nonprofit leader and his wife were found dead inside their Venice home on Tuesday morning in what authorities are investigating as a possible murder-suicide.
According to initial reports, officers responded shortly before 11 a.m. to a residence on the 600 block of Superba Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims were later identified as Jeremy Ferguson, who served as director of operations for Downtown Santa Monica Inc., and his wife, 49-year-old Mandy Zelinka, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
